Kathleen is a
provisionally licensed Marriage and Family Therapist working towards a
specialization in eating disorders. She received her BS in Human
Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Family Studies from the University
of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Illinois, and her MS in Marriage and
Family Therapy from
East Carolina University. She is a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, and is provisionally
licensed by the North
Carolina Marriage and Family Therapy Licensure Board. Kathleen is
passionate about helping those who are struggling with eating disorders achieve
a healthy body, mind, and spirit. Kathleen feels that this journey
to recovery is not the same for each individual, and does not have an instant
fix. However, it is her deep belief that with the right combination of
supports it can be realized.
Kathleen
offers a weekly disordered eating support group for anyone who struggles with eating, purging, compulsive exercise and/or
body image. For more information about the group, or about individual therapy with Kathleen, please contact Deborah.
