As a firm believer in the promises of a life not constrained by the pain and self-doubt an eating disorder inflicts,
I want to help therapists recognize and understand all types of eating, weight and body image problems, and empower their
clients to overcome them. I'm an Approved Supervisor for the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (IAEDP),
and I provide supervision for those working toward certification as an Eating Disorders Specialist. I also offer supervision
to therapists who aren't seeking IAEDP certification, but want asistance in working with clients who are experiencing problems
relating to eating and weight-consciousness.
Unless a supervisee
is situated locally, I conduct supervision via telephone. A supervision session comprises education about diagnosis and etiology
of eating disorders, discussion of treatment approaches, and case consultation. Frequencey of sessions depends on the supervisee's
needs. The fee for a 60-minute session is $105. Shorter or longer sessions are pro-rated accordingly.
